A cross-Canada trip photographing the Trans-Canada Highway by photographer Neil Speers
In 2008, I traveled from the Pacific to the Atlantic following the Trans-Canada Highway, all 7,500 kilometers of it. Along the way I stopped about every 50 kilometers – with a little leeway for safety and views. I also made a few stops “just because.”
What I learned from this trip was that this big, expansive country of ours can truly be said to have a “wow moment” in each and every province along the way. A view that is wonderful, magnificent or awe inspiring in some way.
